Here is Lombok,a island located near Bali, wher e we want to see the stick fightings.
The original population, the Sasak, represent the main part of the population. About 20% are Balineses. A minority is living in the West, Malaya's, South Indians and Chinese. The Sasak possibly originate from the north-west of India or from Birma (today Myanmar), from where they immigrated in the 14th century. They are related to the Balinese in language and race, although the Sasak are predominantly Muslim while the Balinese are Hindu.
